This blog is intended for residents of the Oak Openings region of Northwest Ohio. My labmates and I are Graduate students at Bowling Green State University studying many makes and models of the plants and animals that inhabit this unique region. We hope to share what we learn with those that might be interested.
I (Jessica Sewald) am studying the ecology of bats in this region and will try and post as much as I can about the species of bats we are finding and where we are finding them. But, we may also get posts about mesopredators (AKA coyotes, skunks, racoons, opposums), amphibians (frogs, toads and salamanders), reptiles (specifically box turtles), or butterflies!!
Thanks for visiting our blog!! We will post more soon.
